Toddler and Tiaras is an American Reality show that ran for 7 seasons on TLC network. This series has been a very controversial show since the conception. While a lot of people believe that putting little girls in beauty pageants is okay. Many others believe that this is wrong and doing a lot of damage to the children that participate in these pageants. Since it’s run time it has spawned 2 spinoffs. These shows include Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, which has, even more, problems than Toddlers and Tiaras.

I know that many people may actually enjoy this show and by no means am I trying to stop your love for this show. I am just voicing my opinions about my beliefs about Toddlers and Tiaras.

How I feel about Toddler and Tiaras

My main problem with Toddlers and Tiaras is that it is a proving ground for pedophiles. This show only has broken the standards for children visions of beauty and self-worth. Which is just getting worse and worse as more Reality shows are being born and perpetuating that the only way people will like or even love them is with either dolling themselves up or just by getting surgeries to look more like the celebrities that they see on their Television screens.

This vision of our children and family members is horrible. I would love to have them see them the way that we see them. Which is beautiful before all that makeup and surgeries. I know that there are many people who don’t see anything wrong with wearing makeup. This is a fine viewpoint and this view isn’t aimed at you. It is aimed at the children, people, friends, and family that do see that they need all this stuff to fit in with the jones. The ones that look at themselves like they aren’t worth anyone’s time.

The main reason I am making this video is because I am one of these people who had very little self-worth. I know how it feels and I don’t want that for anyone else. I would love for everyone and especially our friends and families to not go through that pain. Hopefully, this will open their eyes to how we see them.
