So over the last couple of weeks, I have had a couple of networking colleagues ask why millennials are more likely to become entrepreneurs. To this very question, I pondered and asked myself why as a millennial did I start my business. Which I have a handful of reasons for but I will only go over just a few reasons here.

Why Start Your Own Business?

When I first created GhostszMusic (not as a business), I truly just wanted to create a brand that I could be proud of. This is because after working for several different brands and companies I felt that I was being underutilized. Which then made me feel like I would become anything more than what I was. This type of business which is what most of the millennials have to work for before and after college.
However, with GhostszMusic I believe that I could allow and nurture theirs and my abilities. This way we can all grow together and become stronger friends, family, and coworkers. To be honest is what I believe will allow any or all businesses to grow and expand their influence to the masses.

Why Not Just Find A Business That Aligns with Your Values?

When job seeking I have tried to find businesses that align with my core principals but the problem is that many people also agree with these principals. Which makes getting noticed by these companies or brands almost impossible. Think about it like this, If everyone wants to work for a Google, a Nintendo, a Sony, or a Microsoft then how do you get their attention from a sea of thousands, or even millions? It’s very hard to even stand out to these types of companies. Most will do one of three things try again, give up, or work for themselves and create the company that they would love to work for.

After all the hard work and perseverance then you can look yourself in the mirror that state, “I did it! I have achieved everything I wanted and more”. This to me at least is the greatest type of victory and feeling in the world. This is greater than that moment when you finally defeated Gannon after your long journey, or even when you finally revenge Aerith in Final Fantasy VII.

Why not let us all know why you believe millennials are more likely to become entrepreneurs!
